How do I apply for a place for my child at your school?

Please visit our Admissions page, where you will find information on how to apply for a place at Oystermouth Primary School. Also on the page we have included links to the local authority admissions web page and our school prospectus. You will also find a map of our catchment area.

Can I visit the school before deciding to apply?

Yes of course. We welcome prospective families to take a look around the school. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

How do I contact the school?

What are the term dates and INSET days?

What are the school day timings?

  • 8:40am – School gates open
  • 8:50am – The school day begins
  • 10:30am – Dosbarths Limeslade, Rotherslade, Pobbles & Three Cliffs have morning break 
  • 10:45am – Dosbarths Langland, Caswell, Oxwich & Rhossili have morning break
  • 11:50am – Mumbles Beaches lunchtime
  • 12:00pm – Gower Beaches lunchtime
  • 1:45pm – Dosbarths Oxwich & Rhossili have aftenoon break
  • 2:00pm – Dosbarths Rotherslade, Langland, Caswell, Pobbles & Three Cliffs have afternoon break
  • 3:20pm – The school day ends

How does the school communicate with parents?

We have a number of communication tools. Teachers and classroom staff use Class Dojo to share class updates and photos.

The head teacher and the office use text messages and emails to share administrative messages and reminders. If we need to reach you urgently, we will call you on the number provided on your child’s admissions form,  please be sure to update us if any of your contact numbers change.

How do I pay for School Trips?

You can pay for school trips on sQUid. If your child is going on a school trip, you can find the option under “Offers”. To cover the sQuid fee, you will pay a few pence extra on sQuid. If you would prefer to pay cash for school trips, please send the correct money into the office in a labelled envelope.
