Welcome to the new academic year at Oystermouth Primary School!
I have taught at the school for over twenty years and I know how important your children are to you. With this in mind, I can not tell you what a privilege it is to take on the role of Acting Headteacher.
I want all the children who attend Oystermouth to be very happy in school. I strongly believe that a child who enjoys being in school will gain maximum benefit from their primary education.
We are very excited about the year ahead, as a team we want to move the school forward: we want to set the highest standards in behaviour, teaching and learning.
This will be the last paper Newsletter you will receive. In future they will be posted on the school website.
We will inform you via a text when a Newsletter has been put on the website.
If you would prefer a paper copy or you change any personal information please let the Office Staff know.
Your child will receive a Topic Web from each teacher which tells you what is being covered in the class during the term ahead. This helps you to know that when you ask the usual question of, ‘What did you do in school today?’, and the answer is, ‘Nothing!’, you will be able to refer to the Topic Web to know that this is not the case!
Teachers will also send out letters informing you of dates for visits, visitors, Consultation times, etc. These will also be posted on the school website.
Please come and speak to me if you have any concerns about your child’s education or if you have any positive suggestions to make concerning the school.
