Philosophy of Education
My philosophy of education is centred on the belief that education is a journey that fosters intellectual growth, personal development, and social responsibility. I encourage the children in my care to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners who can meaningfully participate in society.
I believe in active and engaging learning processes where students construct knowledge through experiences and reflection. As a teacher, my role is to facilitate and mentor, creating a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and resilience.
Equity and inclusion are fundamental to my approach, ensuring all pupils have access to high-quality education and feel valued.
In essence, I aim to inspire pupils to be thoughtful, capable, and compassionate individuals ready to contribute positively to the world.
Favourite Teaching Moment
Too many to recall, especially at Oystermouth – so many funny, lovely moments!
I am also extremely proud that many of my ex-pupils now work at our school!
