We are proud to share some brilliant news. Thanks to the fantastic efforts of our Dosbarth Rhossili pupils, supported by Mr Greenwood, Miss Reynolds, Miss David and Vic from Size of Wales, Oystermouth Primary School has officially achieved Deforestation Free Champions status.
This achievement recognises the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm shown throughout the Deforestation Free Schools programme over the last couple of years. Our Y6 pupils have shown real leadership, curiosity and care for the planet, learning about how everyday choices can help protect forests and wildlife around the world.
Vic from Size of Wales congratulated the school on reaching Champion status and praised both staff and pupils for their dedication. The children were described as “amazing”, and their work is already helping to shape conversations beyond the school gates.
We are incredibly proud of our Dosbarth Rhossili pupils and grateful to the staff who made this possible. Becoming a Deforestation Free Champion is not the end of the journey, but a strong step forward in helping our children become informed, responsible global citizens.
