Breakfast Club

At Oystermouth Primary School, we believe that a nourishing start to the day is crucial for effective learning. Our Breakfast Club is designed to provide all our pupils with the opportunity to have a healthy and energising breakfast in a warm, friendly environment. Here’s what you need to know:

Who Can Attend?

The Breakfast Club is open to all pupils from Dosbarth Limeslade (Nursery) to Dosbarth Rhossili (Y6). We aim to provide a supportive setting where children can start their day positively, making it easier for parents who need to manage early work schedules.

Operating Hours

The club is open every school day from 8:00 AM to 8:40 AM. After breakfast, children will be escorted to the playgrounds by a member of staff, ensuring they are safely delivered and ready for the school day.

What’s on the Menu?

We offer a range of healthy breakfast options that include:

• A variety of cereals
• Toast
• Fresh fruit
• Milk and water

Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions your child may have.

Activities and Supervision

While the primary aim is to provide a balanced breakfast, the club also offers a quiet space for children to engage in reading, drawing, or socialising with their peers under the supervision of experienced staff members. This gentle start helps them transition smoothly into their academic day.

Cost and Booking

The cost is £1.00 per session. It is not necessary to book Breakfast Club, you can just turn up on the day.

We no longer accept cash for Breakfast Club. Please make payments via the sQuid system, you can find “Breakfast Club Payments” under sQuid Offers. You can use sQuid to pay as you go or pay larger amounts to “credit” your Breakfast Club account. If there are siblings attending Breakfast Club, for ease you can pay the amount owed under one child’s sQuid account.

Drop Off

Please bring your child to either Newton Road or Castle Road gate between 8:00 AM and 8:10 AM. For security reasons, the gates can not be left unlocked and unattended. Two staff members will ‘man’ the gates until 8:10 AM. If your child is to attend Breakfast Club, please do not arrive later than 8:10 AM.
