Professional Background

This is my 15th year teaching and first year teaching at Oystermouth. I have coordinated Assessment and a number of subjects including Mathematics and Literacy.
Before joining Oystermouth I taught at two schools in London:

Philosophy of Education

I believe that every child has the potential to succeed and deserves opportunities to explore, grow and develop their strengths. My practice focuses on developing capable and curious learners who feel confident to explore ideas, ask questions and challenge themselves. I am passionate about the natural world and the power of outdoor learning, and I use these experiences to spark curiosity, build confidence and deepen children’s understanding of their environment. I aim to create an inclusive, supportive classroom where well-being is prioritised and diversity is celebrated, enabling each child to feel valued. I am excited to provide rich learning opportunities that connect to the real world and to our Welsh heritage. In addition, I am committed to building strong relationships with families and the wider community.

Interests and Hobbies

I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially walking along the beach with my family and making the most of the beautiful area we live in. When feeling brave, I love a refreshing cold-water sea dip. At home I take pleasure in reading, baking, gardening and small home-improvement projects. I also value spending time with friends, and love catching up over coffee or dinner.
