Former Pupil Harrison Walsh Inspires at Oystermouth Primary

We were thrilled to welcome back former pupil Harrison Walsh on Thursday, 18th July. Harrison, who overcame a serious knee injury in 2015 that affected his mobility, has since risen to the top in para athletics.

After starting para athletics in 2017, Harrison has broken the F44 shot put world record with a remarkable throw of 15.73m at the 2019 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Italy. He has also won international bronze medals at the 2021 European Championships in Poland and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

As Harrison competes in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, we wish him the very best of luck!
