Dosbarth Pobbles Boys Show Promise in Red Ball Competition
On Tuesday 11th June, five Dosbarth Pobbles boys competed in a ‘Red Ball Competition’ at the University Sports Centre. They showed great determination, winning their first two matches. Despite a tough challenge against Oakleigh House School, the boys secured an impressive second place overall. Their skills and techniques improved remarkably, promising a bright future in tennis. Dosbarth Oxwich Girls Shine in Orange Ball Competition
On Friday 14th June, six Dosbarth Oxwich girls participated in an ‘Orange Ball Competition’ at Ashleigh Road. Competing against Pontardulais and Pontybrenin Primary Schools, they played outstanding tennis, winning most of their matches. The girls emerged victorious, earning gold medallions and a spot in the South Wales Tennis Championships. Well done girls!
Dosbarth Rhossili Boys Dominate Green Ball Competition
Also on Friday 14th June, six Dosbarth Rhossili boys took part in a ‘Green Ball Competition’ at Ashleigh Road. Facing teams from Pennard Primary School, the boys won all their matches, securing first place. They were awarded gold medallions and qualified for the South Wales Tennis Championships. Congratulations to our talented players!
South Wales Championships Highlights
On 25th and 28th June, the Dosbarth Rhossili boys and Dosbarth Oxwich girls competed in the South Wales Championships in Whitchurch. The boys reached the quarter-finals, a significant achievement against Welsh squad players. A big thank you to Hannah for her help with transport.
The girls excelled, reaching the finals and finishing in second place, a remarkable feat against strong competition. They added silver medals to their collection. Special thanks to Joanne for her invaluable support with transport.
