Exciting Author Visit: Paul Leyshon Inspires Young Readers

On Friday, 10th January, Gower Beaches classes were delighted to welcome children’s author Paul Leyshon for an inspiring and engaging visit. Paul, originally from Gorseinon, introduced pupils to his novel, Joni Jones and the Ghost Train, a thrilling time-travel adventure for readers aged 8–13.

During his visit, Paul shared fascinating insights into the creative process and answered pupils’ thoughtful questions, which he later described as “fantastic.” The children’s enthusiasm for the story and the world of writing made the visit a resounding success.

Paul emailed after the visit to express his gratitude, saying, “Thank you very much for the welcome I received last week. I really enjoyed visiting the school, and the pupils were so enthusiastic. It was a pleasure to speak to them.”

Thank you to Paul Leyshon for an unforgettable visit and for inspiring the next generation of readers and writers!
