This year, our school community marked Remembrance with a series of thoughtful activities that helped pupils understand the importance of honouring those who served.
During the week leading up to Remembrance Sunday, we held a daily after-school poppy shop. Thanks to the generosity of our families, 100 percent of the profits will go directly to the Royal British Legion to support the Armed Forces community.
On Sunday 9 November, Mrs Morgan joined Dosbarth Rhossili pupils Jack, Lorenzo, Ralph, Nina and Hattie and Dosbarth Pobbles pupil Zach, at the Mumbles Cenotaph. They represented the school with pride as they laid a wreath during the Remembrance Sunday service.
Our commemorations continued on Tuesday 11 November, when Mrs Morgan took pupils from Dosbarth Three Cliffs — Cecily, Layla, Teddy, Jacob, Sienna and Lenni — to Oystermouth Cemetery. The children laid poppies on the war graves there as a quiet and respectful act of remembrance.
We are proud of all our pupils for the maturity and kindness they showed throughout these events.
