Welsh Week and World Book Day Celebrations!

School was bursting with colour, culture and creativity as we celebrated Welsh Week from 3rd–7th March, followed by World Book Day on Monday 10th March.

Throughout Welsh Week, pupils immersed themselves in the richness of Welsh culture. Our Welsh Sports Day was a big hit, with children competing in fun and quirky events – including the ever-popular leek throwing! Budding artists and writers shone brightly in our handwriting and art competitions, while the week culminated in our much-loved Eisteddfod – a whole school celebration of Welsh music, poetry and performance. The pride and talent on display was wonderful to see.

The following Monday was our celebration of World Book Day, when pupils arrived dressed as their favourite characters and took part in a variety of book-themed activities. From superheroes to storybook animals, the costumes were fantastic – and a great time was had by all.

A huge thank you to staff, pupils and families for making both events such joyful and memorable occasions!
